some things

• auden’s new way of having a temper tantrum is to put his fingers down his throat and throw up
• nothing hurts quite as much as stepping on a leggo
• is it bed time yet?

i was really excited about auden peeing in his little tiny potty for the first time tonight, until he went back, looked at it, and splashed it all over the floor.  and then i just laughed my ass off.  at least he is good at using the little padded seat over the regular toilet.

i always had this great pride in the fact that i wasn’t one of those parents who posted to facebook about their baby’s bathroom habits or potty training because i didn’t want to hear about any of that shit before i had a baby of my own, or after… until now:

we were getting out of the shower and auden bent over a little when i went to wrap him in a towel.  then he pooed out a turd the size of his forearm, gave me a mortified “what the hell was that?!” look and ran to the other side of the tub.

i am still laughing about it and i’m the one who had to clean poo out of the tub.
